Teacher Mindy Camacho, Director (M-F 9:30-5:30) 

Joined Intercommunal Pre-School in July 2011.  She has been in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE) since 1987.  She has an Associate Degree in Behavioral Science, over 50 units in ECE, and a BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Family Studies.  She also has an ECE Program Director Permit, from the California Department of Teacher Credentialing, with a specialization in Infant and Toddlers.   She volunteers as a professional growth adviser for ECE teachers in San Mateo County who need to renew their Teaching Permits.  Mindy is married, and lives in Pacifica.  She has two adult children, one of which is in college. “I love being a director and working with children, parents and teachers.”


Teacher Doris Palacios (M-F 7:00-3:00)

Joined Intercommunal Pre-School in 1986.  She is one of the Teacher’s for the Blue Jay Classroom (Pre-K).  Doris has 16 units in Early Childhood Educations and an Associate Teacher’s Permit, from the State of California Department of Teacher Credentialing.  Doris is Bi-lingual in Spanish/English.  She has 2 adult children, and two young grandchildren.  “I love being with the kids and teaching them”


Teacher Nancy Huynh (M-F 8:00-4:00)

Joined Intercommunal Preschool in October of 2016.  She has been in the field or ECE for more than 7 years.  She is one of the Teacher’s in the Blue-Jay Classroom (Pre-K).  Nancy has an Associate of Arts Degree in ECE and a BA in Liberal Studies.  She also has a Teacher’s Permit from the State of California Department of Teacher Credentialing.  Nancy is Bi-lingual in English/Cantonese.  “I love teaching children of all ages.”


Teacher Alejandra Espinoza (T Th & F 8:30-5:00)

Joined Intercommunal Preschool in 2014 as a volunteer High School Student.  She began working as a part time Teacher’s Assistant in October 2015.  She is the Assistant Teacher for the Deer Classroom (3-4 yr. old’s).  Alejandra is currently enrolled in ECE Classes and will have her Associate Teacher Permit before July 2017.   She is Bi-lingual in English/Spanish.  Alejandra lives in the neighborhood with her mom, and her younger brother and sister.  “The children are so cute.  I love playing with them, and teaching them.”


Teacher Sandra Vultao (M & W 8:30-5:00)

Joined Intercommunal Preschool in August 2016 as a part time Teacher’s Aide.  She works in the Deer Classroom 2 days a week so Alejandra can complete her degree.  She is Tri-Lingual in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.  Sandra also lives in the neighborhood.  She is married and has 4 children.  “I really enjoy the kids and love helping out around the school.”


Teacher Vicky Capra (M-F 8:30-4:30)

Joined Intercommunal Preschool in May 2015 as a Co-Teacher for the Pre-k class and now is the Teacher in the Deer’s classroom.  She is Bi-lingual Spanish/English and has been teaching for 8 years.  She has a Teacher Permit from the State of California Department of Teacher Credentialing.  Vicky lives nearby with her teenage son.  “I like to work with the kids and their families.”


Teacher Deborah Jackson (M-F 11:00-1:30)

Joined Intercommunal Preschool in October 2016 as our Kitchen Coordinator.  She is the one that keeps us fed with our catered in food from Chefables.   Deborah is also studying ECE and often jumps into the classrooms to lend a helping hand.  She lives nearby with her husband.  She has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren.  “It’s fun to come to work and see the children.  I like helping in the classroom too.”
